Hill Freedom Infrared Sensor

Hill Freedom Infrared Sensor is designed to determine the freedom of the controlled section of the road.The fixation of the location of the rolling stock (mobile unit) on the track section occurs when the modulated infrared optical band flow formed between the emitter and the DSGI receiver overlaps the mobile (mobile unit).

The sensor of freedom of the mountain infrared is used as an addition to the rail chains to protect the arrows from the transfer under the moving train (unit) with the loss of the train shunt, and also for fixing the moment of the traverse of the trailer of the monitored section on the runway.

For protection of arrows, the sensor for free-of-charge mountain Infrared is used in conjunction with the PMB-56 pedal or other sensors used in mountainous rail circuits.

Basic parameters and characteristics
  • the distance of a stable operation between the receiver and the radiator is not more than 12 m;
  • allowable overlap of the optical channel – 70% of the surface of the receiver and emitter windows
  • allowable displacement of the optical axes of the receiver and the radiator from the optical axis – no more than 5 °;
  • power consumption – no more than 5 W;
  • Power is supplied from an alternating current source with a voltage of 12 V (± 10%) frequency (50 ± 1) Hz;
  • Control voltage on the load (relay type NMSH1-1440, NMSH1-2000) – 27 ± 2 VDC
  • stable operation at an ambient temperature from minus 45 ° to plus;

    The sensor of freedom, the mountain infrared, works steadily when the sunlight shines on the receiver and the radiator, and in conditions of poor visibility (rain, snow, fog).
